Beaded Jewelry Necklaces by Carolyn

This substantial necklace is created from barrel-shaped beads of Wild Horse Magnesite approx. 13mm x 15mm, with pyrite rondelle and 4mm Picture Jasper cube spacer beads. Two 13mm banded Agate tube beads accent the ends of this 26 ½” necklace, which is completed by a metallic bronze glass bead loop and 17mm vintage deep brown button. Wild Horse Magnesite is mined near the Gila Wilderness area of Arizona and is a creamy white stone with a matrix which ranges from tan to dark chocolate brown, with highlights in light brown, gray, peach and pink tones.

Volcano cherry quartz (glass) beads have wonderful swirls of color, almost like tiger-eye or cats-eye marbles. These are free-form rectangles, about 17mm by 20 mm in size, with a neat twist and some faceting. They range in color from pink to sparkling clear, with smoky plumes in tan and brown. This necklace is about 25 ½” long, including the vintage button and loop closure. It is accented with Swarovski crystal bicone beads, faceted bronze glass accent beads and freshwater pearls.

A lovely rainbow moonstone pendant set in sterling silver, measuring about 35mm long and 25mm wide at the widest point, is suspended from a spiral rope chain in this necklace that looks like cool blue ice and clear ice chips sparkling in the light. The spiral rope is hand stitched with blue and silver beads, accented with Swarovski crystal cubes and quartz and Amazonite chips. It is 21 ½” long, including the antique faceted clear glass button and loop closure.

Shades of purple from deep and dark to light and sparkly abound in this necklace. It is composed of 4 dramatic 40mm Rainbow Fluorite beads, 5mm Swarovski crystals, 10mm Rainbow Fluorite rondelles, 10mm x 15mm purple glass accents and silver spacer beads. The 40mm Amethyst pendant has a fascinating depth of translucent patterning in shades of purple, with some white and light brown highlights. This necklace is 22 ½” long, plus pendant, and is finished with iridescent purple glass beads forming a loop and a 15mm vintage glass button.

If you love pink, this very feminine shell flower pendant necklace is for you! The flower is about 47mm across, and is made of 3 layers of pink-dyed shell, centered with a creamy pearl. The necklace is composed of pink freshwater pearls, highlighted with rose pink helix Swarovski crystals and pearly seed beads, and measures about 21 ½” long, including the shimmery pink vintage button and loop closure.

The teal green and caramel patterns in this 40mm Variscite pendant coordinate beautifully with the varied autumn colors of the rectangular Ocean Jasper beads, highlighted with Tiger eye rounds and metallic brass glass bead accents. This necklace is 25 ¾” long, plus pendant, including the intricately detailed gold-plated toggle clasp. Each 16mm x 8mm Ocean Jasper bead is a completely unique work of art in its own right. The source of this wonderful stone, in Madagascar, is now mined out and beads of this fine quality are becoming rarer all the time.
